'Black Wax'

Released on 30 March 2009 on Best Before

Ah Dan Aykroyd. You’ve already given us so much. Ghostbusters, The Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters II and, umm, and....well, that’s about it really, until you inspired five lads and a girl from Scotland to take your name and turn it in to one of the worst band names of the decade. However, ‘Black Wax’ is surprisingly good with its jangly guitars, shouty, fun vocals and enthusiastic ‘whooo’s’ in the chorus. (A special mention also has to go to the funky drumming that launches the songs finale). It’s a summery, feel good anthem that would kick-start any party.
