Earlier this year, New York’s The Pains of Being Pure at Heart released “Belong”, their sophomore album, winning plaudits on both sides of the pond (Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and Spin in the US, Culturedeluxe, Mojo, Drowned in Sound and Loud and Quiet, among others, in the UK), even appearing on David Letterman to perform first single, “Heart In Your Heartbreak.” Subsequent sold-out headline shows in the US and the UK further confirmed the band’s steady ascent.
