Sadly, for some reason, it is only on the Wii. Is there a reason? Don’t know.
Daniel Craig is also playing Bond, so…how…is it Goldeneye?
It looks great and I will probably buy it, but I keep asking myself…why? Why re-release a game from 13 years ago and…oh, never mind. Something tells me that they hired Daniel Craig do voice a Bond game for the film that never happened and rather than send him home, they came up with this idea.
GoldenEye 007 can be played with the Wii Remote with Nunchuk, Wii Zapper, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, or theNintendo GameCube controller, potentially allowing four players to play in different styles simultaneously. An additional bundle featuring a golden Classic Controller Pro will also be available at retail.
Here is what Wikipedia says:
David Arnold, the composer of every subsequent Bond film since Tomorrow Never Dies, will compose the game’s score. The game’s script is penned by Bruce Feirstein, the writer of the original 1995 GoldenEye film, who has described several changes made to update the story in the fifteen years since its release; for example, Alec Trevelyan’s motivations have changed as the character as he appeared in the films would be eighty years old in 2010[ in order to be consistent with his backstory, whilst Valentin Zukovsky no longer has any connection to the KGB. Rory Kinnear will reprise his role from Quantum of Solace as Bill Tanner, M’s Chief of Staff.

This was their “big announcement” at this year’s E3. What a joke.
Re-releasing a 13-year old game is pretty weak (even if it is a stone-cold classic). At the very most this should be a £10 download title, not a full price retail game.
I’m a bit excited but I do get the feeling it’s going to be a let down :/
